I’m still using John the Ripper but many of my friends prefer Hydra :)

@DIDIx13 In fact, John the Ripper is a tool used to crack passwords offline whereas Hydra is used for attacks over different Internet protocols such as HTTP(S), FTP and SSH just to name a few.

Thanks for the advice @Elhitch I thought they were the same.

I need to get a bigger look on Hydra my thanks to you guys.

Hydra is an excellent tool, wide range of support for many protocols coupled with the ability to crack usernames and passwords simultaneously. p.s to clear up the confusion JTR is an offline cracker tool used to crack hashes, hydra is an online cracking tool which brute forces over a range of different protcols
