Why Ettercap is not working?

I am trying to use Ettercap to sniff data from another device, I ran this command “ettercap -Tq -M arp:remote -i wlan0 /192.168.1.1// /192.168.1.38//” but even after entering html login request from another device, its is not showing anything. Can somebody help me, please.

Do you have port forwarding enabled in the kernel?
