Getting message but not passing the level

Some thing’s that I’ve tried: first 2 give popup, the last doesn’t.

alert(‘HackThis!!’);
&ltscript>alert(‘HackThis!!’);</script&gt

I’ve also looked at some XSS cheat sheets and I’m not getting anything.
Check my understanding? So the last shouldn’t work because it’s just text and not executing the actual code. The first two, I have no idea what’s wrong. Is there 1 perfect solution that the site accepts but rejects the others? I’m approaching 70 attempts and am thoroughly pissed. Tried using chrome and firefox.

Please spell it out to me like I’m stupid, lol, thanks!
