Well, yes, you are on the right track!

Actually, if you cracked the hashes as you said, you should have all the details you need to complete this challenge.
One is the username and the other is the password.

@NiniKing as I said in other threads we can only help if you provide us with some information on what you tried so far.
This is the only way to get any help.

If you have successfully decrypted the hashes (like you said), it should work, but I don’t see why you didn’t complete the level. So you’re doing something wrong in the decryption part. You can PM me and I will help you.

Sorry for the late reply
and thanks for yall help
Been really wanting to play but well … work and school

So i get as far as a white page
it has a series of numbers and letters
at the half way mark its separated by a colon
so my assumption is the colon separates user and pass
ive tried md5 tools online
nothing
also used other decyphering tools
I think like md4 and some other ones
a few come up with characters and not letters
the others come up with actual words
Some come up with like
“Us3Rn@mE” kind of words
mixed and matched and used everything i got
after like a few hundred attempts with what i have
well nothing again

Hope my explination was somewhat helpful
to help my noob ass out
thanks again in advance

If you want to know what type of has you are looking at them remember they are different lengths: Look at these here as it may help you understand what you should be looking for. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hash_function_security_summary

hello idle, you helped me well and learn me a lot (youtube), thanks !

AVGJOE88 : as i said to isoko, check this link >> http://md5decrypt.net/

With this link you’ll be able to find which decrypt tool you need :)
well, its easy with it..
you’re close to the answer, “user”:“pass”, the two have to be decrypted separatly, and not “user:pass”

Hi Mate, it is NOT a MD5 hash a great place to get your hashes cracked are here ???????? but since it could be a spoiler So:

use: google!!

Forgot to mention. Each hash is seperated by a colon ….. “hash 1” : “hash 2” Don’t use the speech marks!! :)

lol this is not a matter of using the right “decryption tool”… you have to understand what you are doing before :)

Like, what is an hash? how do I recognize an hash? and things like that…

Hey AVGJOE88, MrCyph3r is right you need to have a bit of understanding about hashes and what thet are and what they are used for. The url I gave you before and here it is again: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hash_function_security_summary when on the page look at Hash function you see something like MD5 If you click on it, it will take you to the relevant page. Same with: SHA-1 Clicking on that will take you to where you can find out about SHA-1 hashes. Everything in the Hash function column is clickable and it will take you to a description of the hash. Okay??

@AVGJOE88 if you want to fing out the begging to this [s]flabby[/s] rabbit hole maybe the hash-identifier can be help you, or you can try search by hashs, have many sites with a big list of cracked hashes and some softwares to break it, but the method to crack the hash is brute force, because it is a irreversible cryptography, so if is a hard password you probably will spent many centuries to break it.
ima just keep trying to back track to the beginning like i am
This is actually the best way to learn, because if we provide you with the path to follow you will miss a lot of useful content.

I’ve found an easier website to use for decryption

I know I just figured out how to do 10, but I don’t want to post the link because I believe I learned a bit by just figuring it out for myself. One usefull hint I can give, you should use search engines for more than what you usually use them for. whatever file you find or whatever combination of letters and numbers you discover, try copy and pasting those lines. See what good ‘ol google can turn up for you.
