So it’s about time I put something here :D

I am an ICT Technician for a secondary school in the UK. If something has a chip in it then chances are I’d be interested. I have been an ICT Technician for 5 years now and am mainly self taught.

I am not a hacker and will never be one, Due to my job it is hard to focus in one area of computing/electronics and therefore I wouldn’t (at the moment at least) be able to learn all of whats required to be a hacker.

I joined this site to expand my knowledge (as I am always trying to do) and learn how to protect my websites and web applications. I am always willing to help others as sometimes the best way to learn is to teach/show someone it, though I don’t like it when people simply ask how to do it, I’m not going to do the hard work for you, I mean what would you learn??

What areas am I best in?
Well you could possibly say that I am; >A jack of all trades and a master of none That quote sums me up really.

[] I can confidently make websites and web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and MySQL but still have a lot to learn in PHP and definitely JavaScript.
[] I have played around with Android phones an awful lot and can flash new ROMS as well as root them and even program small apps using C, though it has to be said I cam not very confident with C.
[] I spent a 4 years working as a call out technician and therefore can usually diagnose most hardware/software issues quickly and efficiently.
Understandably from my current job I have a good understanding of networking in a Windows environment using Windows Server 2003, 2008 R2.
[] I can repair the old fat ps3’s that have a YLOD by re flowing the board and ones that have faulty Blu-ray drives (requires remarrying of the board and drive).
[*] In my current job I get to play with a lot of neat toys :D these include, Laser Cutters, Cutters, Robots, Arduino and Raspberry Pi’s. The best toy by far is the 3D printer, yes it’s awesome.
